Congressman Darrell Issa Fighting Back Against Gavin Newsom’s Economically Restrictive Policies.

Former Congressman Darrell Issa is busy running his campaign to get back into Congress to represent California’s 50th District. That hasn’t stopped him from pushing back against the most extreme liberal policies being pushed by California Governor Gavin Newsom.  Congressman Issa before entering Congress founded Directed Electronics, the company grew and scaled to hundreds of employees and hundreds of millions of dollars in revenue. This gives him the insight and experience to push for policies that will be conducive to an economic recovery.

California and the rest of America face an economic downturn that has ripped away jobs from countless Americans. The Trump administration has put together a three-part plan to reopen the economy. It will also take state and local governments to ease burdensome restrictions.

AB5 became a California law in 2020. It mandates that all workers are entitled to benefits (health insurance, retirement) warranted for a full-time employee including independent contractors.

AB5 has essentially eliminated free-lance work since employers now bear the burden of the increased costs of compensating them as a full-time employee. In the age of the gig economy, free-lance work as a means of making a living has boomed, and especially given our current circumstances it affords the opportunity for one to work flexibly and remotely.

Congressman Darrell Issa understands the burden that AB5 places on employer’s ability to hire additional workers. He has asked that California Governor Gavin Newsom temporarily suspend AB5.

As unemployment levels rise to 13%, the small business loan program has officially been depleted. Right now Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer are holding up a funding bill that would add $250 Billion to the small business loan program.

As the rest of small business in America anxiously hope and wait that they will have access to small business loans. Darrell Issa is asking that Governor Gavin Newsom suspend the $800 minimum business tax. His justification being that the tax will further burden small businesses and that starting a business is a human right.

America faces an existential crisis with the Coronavirus Pandemic and an Economic downturn. America’s turbulent economic conditions will continue to be exacerbated by career bureaucrats like Gavin Newsom who have an anti-business agenda. Darrell Issa, like President Trump, was a successful and independently wealthy businessman before entering politics. It is effective business leaders like Issa that have the economic foresight to lead us through this crisis.

  1. You always seem to spew out things other people are saying as if you don’t have a original idea. Now don’t get me wrong I agree with what your doing but try to have a opinion yourself instead of just the party’s
