Duterte May Step Down In Near Future

The notorious asskicker of the Philippines is getting ill and considering retirement.

Philippines’ President Rodrigo Duterte has shocked the world with his unhinged rants against the globalists and unabashed endorsement of murder. For his behavior, he has gained many detractors who believe he is insane and unfit for office as well as many supporters who feel his leadership is just what the doctor ordered to drain the Filipino swamp.

Unfortunately, Duterte’s polarizing brand of leadership may be coming to an unexpected end. He announced earlier this week that doctors found irregular tissue that they believe may be cancer during a routine colonoscopy. They have taken additional samples and will be conducting a battery of tests. Duterte fears the worst and said he would step down if diagnosed.

“I don’t know where I’m now physically, but I have to wait for that. But, I will tell you if its cancer. If it’s third stage, no more treatment. I will not prolong the agony in this office or anywhere,” he said while addressing the graduates of Philippine Military Academy.

Duterte spokesman Harry Roque elaborated on Duterte’s comments.

“The president is not inclined to hide anything about his health. I assure the public, the president will not hide anything. If it is serious, he will inform the nation,” Roque said.

Duterte has been plagued with a litany of health problems for many years. He gets migraine headaches frequently, suffers from a variety of spinal issues, obtained the blood vessel disorder Buerger’s disease from his years of smoking, and has severe acid reflux as well. The fact that he can lead his nation with these myriad conditions is a testament to his steadfast resolve.

Vice President Leni Robredo, who leads the opposition Liberal Party, would take over in Duterte’s absence. Duterte believes Robredo is too “weak” to handle the position, but would have to hand over his power to him under the Filipino constitution if he ultimately steps down.

Recently, Duterte admitted to ordering murders to combat the scourge of drugs within his nation.

“I told the military, what is my fault? Did I steal even one peso? My only sin is the extrajudicial killings,” he said.

There is certainly no leader in the world as based as Duterte. Enjoy his colorful antics while you can because they may be coming to an end very soon.
