Was Neocon Nikki Booted By Trump For Writing Anonymous NYT Op/Ed?

Her abrupt exit from the administration has many wondering what exactly happened

Former South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley served as US ambassador to the UN, and was a favorite of neocons, Never Trumpers and establishment Republicans throughout the country. She would contradict the President’s authority frequently, in an obviously attempt to posture herself as a strong leader for the mainstream media in order to promote her national figure at Trump’s expense.

She will need to find a new job after today, as she submitted her resignation for her post in the administration which was promptly accepted by President Trump. During the press conference in the Oval Office announcing her departure, both Trump and Haley were all smiles.

“It was a blessing to go into the U.N. with body armor every day and defend America,” Haley said to reporters earlier today. “I’ll never truly step aside from fighting for our country. But I will tell you that I think it’s time.”

“She’s done a fantastic job, and we’ve done a fantastic job together,” Trump said. “We’re all happy for you in one way, but we hate to lose you.”

Despite the pleasantries, many observers believe there is more than meets the eye regarding her sudden and unexpected departure as UN ambassador. Some have speculated that she resigned over Brett Kavanaugh’s successful nomination to the Supreme Court and Trump’s mocking comments toward one of his accusers, but it is far more likely that she wrote the anonymous op/ed that was published by the New York Times over a month ago about resisting Trump from the inside. It fits her modus operandi completely.

That shameful and seditious piece of propaganda read, in part, as follows:

To be clear, ours is not the popular “resistance” of the left. We want the administration to succeed and think that many of its policies have already made America safer and more prosperous.

But we believe our first duty is to this country, and the president continues to act in a manner that is detrimental to the health of our republic.

That is why many Trump appointees have vowed to do what we can to preserve our democratic institutions while thwarting Mr. Trump’s more misguided impulses until he is out of office.

The root of the problem is the president’s amorality. Anyone who works with him knows he is not moored to any discernible first principles that guide his decision making.

What indicates that Haley may have wrote this drivel? Well, the fact that so many Trump-hating neocons and establishment Republicans who have criticized the President frequently are bemoaning her departure should be a dead giveaway.

Regardless of whether Haley wrote the NYT piece or not, today is a great day for those who truly believe in the ideals of ‘America First.’ A self-serving interloper was given her walking papers, and whoever replaces her will certainly do a better job of supporting Trump’s agenda rather than front-running for their own ambitions.
