President Donald Trump has stood up to the entrenched bureaucracy in Washington D.C. – popularly referred to as the deep state – and that has caused him to make many high-profile enemies in the CIA, FBI, NSA, etc.
Now, some of these offended spooks are making runs for Congress in an attempt to subvert President Trump’s ‘America First’ agenda.
NBC News published a gushing profile of these Democrats who are trying to gain higher office by defending a status quo that has caused record debts to pile up, the Constitution to be ripped to shreds, and Islamic terrorists to rise throughout the globe. Two prominent examples of the Deep State’s attempted infiltration of Congress are Abigail Spanberger of Virginia’s 7th Congressional District and Elissa Slotkin of Michigan’s 8th Congressional District.
“It’s incredibly disappointing,” said Spanberger, who worked as an officer in the CIA in the U.S. and overseas for a total of eight years, to NBC News. “To have a president who doesn’t see your work as service to the nation, work that is meant to help him, it’s hard to see.”
“It’s rattled me and everyone I know in the community,” said Slotkin, who worked as a bureaucrat during the administrations of George W. Bush and Barack Obama, to NBC News. “It’s been a big surprise to me that the commander in chief would be targeting his own intelligence community. These are people who come in every day and make sacrifice and work to keep our country safe.”
Evan McMullin, the CIA-aligned ‘Never Trumper’ who ran a very forgettable sabotage Presidential campaign against Trump on behalf of the neoconservatives and Hillary Clinton in 2016, is firmly behind these Democrats.
“They’ve seen the destructive tactics of corrupt power-seeking demagogues overseas, and they correctly see the same threat in our president and the rise of polarizing extremist movements in the US,” McMullin said to NBC News.
While Democrats used to be skeptical of military power, that is no longer the case. Because of the rise of Trump, Democrats have jettisoned every principle they were supposed to hold dear. They replaced their principles with neo-McCarthyism, a worship of unelected federal bureaucrats, and a hatred of America that is on par with ISIS.
It is no shocker that the disgraced refuse of the Republican Party is flocking rapidly to the Left. It is exactly where they belong.
