Former Director of National Intelligence (DNI) James Clapper has led the ‘Never Trump’ chorus in the mainstream media ever since he lost the post he had under Obama, but now that former CIA Director John Brennan has lost his security clearance, he is beginning to change his tune.
“Do you think John Brennan’s hyperbole is an issue here — is one of the reasons we’re having this crisis?” journalist Jake Tapper asked Clapper on CNN’s “State of the Union” on Sunday.
“I think it is. I think John is subtle like a freight train and he’s going to say what’s on his mind,” Clapper said in response.
Clapper then qualified his statement by saying “that the common denominator among all of us that have been speaking up is genuine concern about the jeopardy or threats to our institutions and values, although we all may express that in different ways. But John and his rhetoric, I think, have become an issue in and of itself.”
Trump denied Brennan his security clearance because he “leveraged his status as a former high-ranking official with access to highly sensitive information to make a series of unfounded and outrageous allegations.”
Has anyone looked at the mistakes that John Brennan made while serving as CIA Director? He will go down as easily the WORST in history & since getting out, he has become nothing less than a loudmouth, partisan, political hack who cannot be trusted with the secrets to our country!

I hope John Brennan, the worst CIA Director in our country’s history, brings a lawsuit. It will then be very easy to get all of his records, texts, emails and documents to show not only the poor job he did, but how he was involved with the Mueller Rigged Witch Hunt. He won’t sue!

Clapper is supposedly next on Trump’s hit list right next to former National Security Agency (NSA) Director Gen. Michael Hayden, former FBI Director James Comey, former national security adviser Susan Rice, former Associate Deputy Attorney General Bruce Ohr, former FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe, former FBI Chief of the Counterespionage Section Peter Strzok, and former FBI lawyer Lisa Page. All of these people are in danger of losing their security clearances in the near future.
Clapper is trying to grovel, but it is likely too little too late. He has been culpable in the conspiracy against the President from day one and was even caught lying to Congress about the nature of NSA spying while he was an Obama stooge. He was never held accountable for committing perjury.
The security clearance that allows deep state bureaucrats like Clapper to cash out after they leave Washington D.C. is no longer a given. Brennan learned the hard way about the consequences of blind partisanship, and Clapper will likely be among the next to pay for his actions.
