HEROIC: House Freedom Caucus Refuses To Cave On Border Wall Funding

The staunchly conservative voting bloc of the House are showing why they are the gold standard of the GOP

This evening, the House Freedom Caucus will propose a special order on the House floor meant to secure border wall funding. They refuse to quit on their mandate to protect the national security of the United States, regardless of the political consequences.

House Freedom Caucus leaders have taken to Twitter to defend their rationale and build public support for their wall-funding push:

Breitbart News explained the strategy of the House Freedom Caucus as they try one last time to actually live up to their campaign rhetoric and salvage the credibility of Republicans:

“Sources with knowledge of the matter tell Breitbart News that the Freedom Caucus strategy is to amend any spending bill brought up in the House to fund Trump’s border wall and close various asylum loopholes that continue to propagate the crises along the border…

It remains to be seen what will happen in the end, but government funding for the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and about a quarter of the federal government runs out on Friday. An inability to get a deal in the end could derail the fight, but Democrats are likely to go for the short-term continuing resolution, which funds the government at current levels–and does not include border wall money or asylum reforms–in order to kick the fight to when they control at least one chamber of Congress. If Democrats in the House side with establishment Republicans, they could cobble together enough votes to bypass Freedom Caucus opposition to any clean funding measure–but Freedom Caucus members view this as the last chance, so they intend to fight for it anyway.”

One of the best results of Trump has been to expose the enemies of America for who they are in the GOP mix while the cream has risen to top. Fakers like House Speaker Paul Ryan and cucked Sens. Bob Corker and Jeff Flake are on the way out while the House Freedom Caucus and their allies are seen as the clear leaders of the party. These are the first steps toward draining the swamp.
